Witchery Farrah Knitted Cape

I don’t know if you have noticed the emerging cape trend but I am definitely loving anything with a cape at the moment.   Lissa was ahead of the trend last year when she picked up a gorgeous BCBG Max Azria cape in the US and I was seriously jealous!   She just seemed to take on super powers whenever she wore that cape – suddenly she was more sophisticated, more stylish and more successful…. how I wanted to borrow it from her … but Lissa doesn’t share clothes or food (another story!) with anyone!!

I did manage to pick up the perfect grey cape jacket from Thurley earlier in the season (as seen here on Bec Judd):

And my latest purchase is a knitted cape from Witchery (hit the stores a couple of days ago):

The Farrah Turtleneck Cape comes in Ecru – which is virtually white.  This  colour can be a challenge for someone like me who always manages to spill things on myself, but I think it is worth it for the stunning contrast it makes to the usual all black look.

Getting it on and off is a bit of  a struggle too because the neck is quite firm which means makeup can end up all over it, but with some careful planning (put bronzer on after you get dressed), it is manageable!

I do feel rather special in my knitted cape and I am waiting for its super powers to kick in…..
